Obituary for Amos Durham

Amos Durham, 88, of Copper Creek passed away Tuesday, March 20th, at the Rockcastle County Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was the husband of Lillie (Simpson) Durham whom he married on December 23, 1950 in Mt. Vernon. Amos was born in the Wolfe Creek Community of Rockcastle County on June 21, 1929. He was a son of the late Astor and Mary (Barnett) Durham. He had worked as a Press Operator for Union Camp-International Paper for 32 years and was an avid wood worker. Amos was baptized and was a member of the Lakota Hills Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio.

Wife of 67 Years, Lillie M. Durham
Daughter, Donna Pingleton
Son, Dennis Ray Durham
Son, James Gregory Durham & Wife Amy
Sister, Dora Hooker
Sister, Sue Wray
Brother, Roger Durham & Wife Carolyn
Brother, Bennie Durham
7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren

In addition to his parents, Amos was preceded in death by two Brothers, Roy & Glen Durham and a Sister, Eva Durham

Pallbearers Include Brad, Justin, Allison Durham, Jake Renner, Dewayne Simpson, & Glen Adams

Funeral Services will be 1 PM, Saturday, March 24th at McKnight Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Shelton officiating.

Visitation will be after 6 Pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at McKnight Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be in the Durham Cemetery.
