Howard Edward Messenger

Howard Edward Messenger, 86 of Stanford, passed away Saturday August 10, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Hospital. He was the husband of Wanda L. Frith Messenger. He was member of Pentacostal Fellowship Church in Lancaster. Howard was a retired press operator for the Advocate Messenger having worked there for 25 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served as a medic during the Korean War.

Survivors Include:

Three Daughters: Debbie and Husband Alonzo Sparkman
Donna Kidd
DeeDee and Husband John Lay
One Step Daughter: Joan and Husband George Lansaw
Three Step Sons: Keith and Wife Brenda Napier
Doug Comley
Ottie and Wife Barb Comley

One Sister: Mary Fuchs

Thirteen Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Velma Messenger and a Brother, Cecil Messenger

Date and Time of Services: 2 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2019
Place of Services: Pentacostal Fellowship Church at 574 Jaycee Park Road, Lancaster, Kentucky
Minister: Pastor Thomas Walls
Place of Burial: The Church Cemetery with Military Burial Honors by The Caswell Saufley American Legion
Visitation will be after 6 PM on Monday, August 12, 2019 at the Pentacostal Fellowship Church and visitation will also be on Tuesday, August 13th from 12:30 until 2 PM Funeral Time at the Church.

Ottie and Doug Comley and Jimmie Blanton
