Obituary for Marie Zwahlen Stevens

Sylvia Marie (Zwahlen) Stevens, 96, of Lancaster, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 12th, at Landmark of Lancaster Rehabilitation And Nursing Home. She was the widow of Logan Arch Stevens whom she married on October 17, 1961. Marie was born in Waynesburg, Kentucky on December 7, 1920, a daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (Schlappi) Zwahlen. She worked as a Seamstress at Cowden's Manufacturing and was a member of the Gilberts Creek Baptist Church.

Sister-In-Law, Edith Zwahlen of Ottenheim

3 Nephews:
James Alfred Zwahlen & Wife Beverly of Six Mile, South Carolina
Jerry Wayne Zwahlen & Wife Susanne of Ottenheim
William "Billy Ray" Zwahlen & Wife Mary of Richmond

Special Friends & Caregivers:
Bro. Morris Trayner & His Wife Roberta of Danville
Lynn Gibson & Wife Rhonda of Lancaster

In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by a Sister, Lillian Margaret Zwahlen; 4 Brothers, Frank, Walter, Alfred, and John William "Bill" Zwahlen

Pallbearers Include: Lynn Gibson, G.B. Miller, Dean Underwood, David Fieldman, Jim & Billy Zwahlen

Funeral Service: 2 PM, Thursday, September 14, 2017
Place of Service: McKnight Funeral Home
Officiating: Bro. Morris Trayner
Place of Burial: Lancaster Cemetery

Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Thursday beginning at 11am at McKnight Funeral Home.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Gilberts Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
